Autumn Melián, LPC, NCC

Autumn specializes in helping children (5+), adolescents, and women navigate life's social and emotional challenges. Her areas os focus include anxiety, stress management, adjustment, self-esteem, social-emotional and behavioral issues in children, women's issues, depression and trauma. She enjoys helping individuals to process their past hurts and present difficulties, to cultivate confidence and comfort in their natural strengths and abilities, as well as to develop new and helpful ways to cope with adversity to live with peace, resilience, and balance.
Autumn strives to provide a warm, strengths-based environment where individuals can heal and work towards their goals using interventions that are tailored to their unique gifts and needs. Autumn's approach to counseling is integrative and holistic wellness-based, and focuses on nurturing the mind, body, and soul. She draws from client-centered, humanistic, and cognitive-behavioral theories, approaching all healing from a trauma-informed lens. Rooted in her belief that healing happens in the context of positive relationships, Autumn strives to build strong therapeutic relationships grounded in trust, safety, genuineness, and unconditional positive regard, Autumn loves incorporating creative play, experiential yoga, mindfulness, and sensory interventions into her counseling sessions,
Autumn earned her Master's of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, as well as a trauma counseling certificate of completion, from Mount Mary University. She has experience working with individuals from across the life span in a variety of levels of care. Autumn has also received training in yoga teaching from an integrative yoga therapy framework.
